New website launched to enable energy customers to join the revolution
The website for the
‘Customer-Led Network Revolution’, the UK’s biggest smart grid project, has just been launched and already there’s been interest from energy customers wanting to participate in the trials.
This three-year project is led by
Northern Powergrid, electricity distributors in the northeast of England, together with British Gas, Durham University and EA Technology, to trial new energy solutions which may allow customers to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.
blahdblah was asked to create an eye-catching website with clear navigation to explain the new energy trials to the man-in-the-street in straightforward language in order to encourage householders and businesses to participate in the trials.
Dr Liz Sidebotham from
Northern Powergrid said, “We are delighted with the finished website which went live ahead of schedule. The site provides a professional and engaging platform for showcasing our R&D project.
It was an interesting challenge to make complex energy issues accessible to the layman but
blahdblah is familiar with the technical issues the sector is facing and how to communicate these effectively to customers.”
